COOKIE JAR ENTERTAINMENT'S JOHNNY TEST WINS ALLIANCE FOR CHILDREN'S TELEVISION GRAND PRIZE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
TORONTO (June 4, 2009) - Cookie Jar Entertainment's action-comedy series Johnny Test has been awarded the prestigious Grand Prize for Best Program - All Categories at this year's Alliance for Children's Television (ACT) Gala. This is Cookie Jar's first ACT award. The popular series airs in Canada on TELETOON.
"Johnny Test" chronicles the adventures of a fearless 11-year-old boy, his genetically engineered super dog Dukey and his 13 year-old twin-teen-prodigy-nuclear-scientist-inventor sisters, Susan and Mary, who use Johnny as their guinea pig for their out-of-this-world scientific experiments. With his carefree attitude, Johnny is always up for an adventure as long as Dukey can come along.
The ACT Awards of Excellence support creators and encourage the celebration of the best kids' programming in English and French Canada. ACT provides opportunities for creative and professional development through workshops, seminars and special events, such as Media-Jeunes and the Children, Youth & Media Conference.
