THE JUNO COMPANY SIGNS CPLG AS GLOBAL LICENSING AGENT
Products to Include Juno's Music-Focused Children's Toys, Apparel, Music and Books

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
San Francisco, California (May 18, 2011) - The Juno Company, a leading children's digital new media company specializing in the creation of innovative music education products including movies, apps and games, television programming, toys, books and more, has named Copyright Promotions Licensing Group (CPLG) as its global licensing agent for its award-winning Juno Baby and Juno Jr. franchises. Under the deal CPLG will be responsible for growing The Juno Company's roster of licensed product partners while expanding the retail base and securing promotional partners.

Building on The Juno Company's solid reputation for creating and producing original and educational music experiences and products for young children, CPLG will target parents of children aged 12 months to six years old with a wide range of Juno branded products from toys and apparel to music and books.

"We design our products with one goal in mind, to instill a lifelong love of music in children, and partnering with a global powerhouse like CPLG will help us effectively share Juno's message with new audiences," said Liza Coppola, SVP of Marketing and Sales for The Juno Company. "The Juno Company's brands will be a perfect complement to CPLG's existing lineup of other award-winning children's properties like Caillou and Strawberry Shortcake."

"We are honored to represent this unique and special brand. No other property exposes children to such rich, beautiful orchestra music using a wonderful combination of puppetry and animation," says Cindy Davis, SVP Domestic Licensing at Cookie Jar's CPLG Division. "With an initial focus on North America, CPLG is excited to build on the success of The Juno Company and extend the brand into many categories of children's products from toys and apparel to musical instruments and publishing."

The Juno Company, founded by mom and composer, Belinda Takahashi, Ph.D., is best known for its Emmy Award-winning Juno Baby and Juno Jr. lines of product, which both feature original music composed and performed by live orchestral musicians and a cast of lovable puppets that interact with children through creative and educational storylines. The characters play in the musical world of Harmonia Springs where trees are made of cellos, cars are shaped like bass clefs and lamp posts like French horns and the train that takes them on their journey is made up entirely of musical instruments. Through their journeys, the characters learn new musical concepts as they sing to the original, orchestral music. The Juno Company team is a blend of senior technologists, top children's creatives, and leading children's educators. The Juno Company proudly founded The One For All Program, which helps the company achieve its mission to bring beautiful, orchestral music education to children everywhere. For every Juno product sold, The Juno Company donates a music education DVD to a child in need. Buy One, Give One.
